Quail Roost Hunter Farm sponsors a Seminole County 4-H Horse Club. The name of the club is "Hoofing It". We meet once a month in Chuluota, Florida at our horse farm.

Our club ranges in membership numbers between 15 and 25. The ages we currently serve are 9-17 although 4-H is open to anyone turning 8 by Sept 1 through the age of 18 or as long as you are enrolled in public school.

Our objective is to provide a safe, supervised environment for children to explore their love of horses. 4-H is a Youth development program. It is free of charge and open to all children. Our curriculum is guided by a series of workbooks provided to us by the State of Florida through the University of Florida and Department of Agriculture. We follow guidelines established for us for safety, behavior and member participation. We have a State 4-H Rule Book that governs our horse shows. The horse shows being only a very small part of our program.

The leader and organizer of Hoofing It Club is Elizabeth Isaacson. "Liz" is a professional rider and trainer with her own training facility, Quail Roost Hunter Farm. Her main focus is teaching children the fine points of Hunter/Jumper riding and showing. She is currently expanding her level of riding and training knowledge by exploring the upper levels of dressage. "Liz" was a member of Seminole County 4-H for 10 years. She showed successfully at all levels of Hunter/Jumper, Showmanship and Dressage. She traveled outside the State of Florida at the Regional level representing Florida, while a member of Seminole County’s fine program. The year she graduated from high school she was awarded Seminole County’s prestigious "Horseman of the Year" award along with that came a cash scholarship with which she attended Valencia Community College with divided interests in Business Management and Primary Exceptional Education.

4-H is a youth education program which provides children and young adults ages 5-18 the opportunity to learn life skills they need to be productive and self-reliant members of society, good citizens and leaders of tomorrow. You can be members of 4-H by joining a Community 4-H Club, by participating in a short term Special Interest Program, or by being part of a 4-H School Enrichment Classroom Project.
