Quail Roost Hunter Farm & Sporthorse Breeders is a full training facility. We offer breaking and training primarily for Hunter/Jumper and Dressage disciplines. A side interest of ours is Hunter Showmanship. Our trainer, Elizabeth Isaacson, will start you riding from learning the walk to jumping a course of jumps. We have quality schooling horses and ponies for lessons or full and half leases available.We provide everything you need to get started: horse, tack, hard hat, three riding rings, a dressage ring and a jump course. We travel to one show a month in order to test our skills and we participate fully in Seminole County’s 4-H Horse program, which is not limited to but can include showing at the regional level outside the state of Florida. We will expand in 2002-03 to regularly attending Dressage shows.
Another facet of our farm program is the breeding and training of show quality Sporthorses. We stand our own 17 hand, Black,Swedish Warmblood stallion, Encore. Every year we have a number of nice foals for sale that are thoroughbred crosses or pure warmblood. These foals are broken to lead, clip, stand on the cross ties and sometimes lunge, depending on their age. We will be offering a yearly International Sporthorse Registry & Oldenberg of North America warmblood inspection site for mares and foals.
We enjoy breeding and managing broodmares along with our veterinarian, Dr. Walters, we have been successful venturing into fresh cooled and frozen semen breeding work. We are offering "broodmare management": board your mare and have us take care of all the last minute vet checks, stallion teasing, semen ordering, record keeping and behavior watching…pick her up "in foal".
